The Honda City is the top selling sedan from Honda till date as it has managed to attract maximum number of buyers. The Honda City not only possesses the most stylish modern exteriors but also comfortable interiors. The car has enough space for movement with spacious and comfortable seating capacity especially for long drives. Another car manufacturer Chevrolet has also come up with a sedan Aveo, having similar features as of Honda City. Aveo is all set to give a tough competition for Honda City. Let us compare the two to know which one stands out to be the best of two.

Looks matter

Stylish exteriors of Honda City

The Honda City is the most stylish car with an arrow shaped designed exteriors. The car has an   aggressive front and sharp headlamps with integrated side turn indicators. It has a premium chrome radiator grille at the front along with the Honda badge at the front. The lower bumper has the fog lamps integrated on them in body colour. The side profile of the car has rear view mirrors and door handles which are of same body colour as of the car. It also has a ten spoke alloy wheels. The rear end of the car has a sporty look too and the arrow shaped design has been maintained at the rear too. The higher variant of the City also has a sunroof top.

Sporty Chevrolet Aveo

The Chevrolet Aveo has a simple and sporty front design with sporty looking headlamps and side turn indicators. The car has a Chevrolet logo at the front grille and has a body coloured lower front bumpers with fog lamps integrated on these. The side profile of the car has a body coloured door handles and rear view mirrors. The rear of the car is simple and has got nothing special to it. It has sporty looking tail lamps and a body coloured rear bumpers. The boot space is not huge at the back.

Engine power

The Honda City is powered by a 1.5 litre 1497cc i-VTEC petrol engine which has 4 cylinders with 16 valves and takes fuel through an electronic fuel injection system and generates 116.38bhp maximum power @ 6600rpm and 146Nm torque @ 4800rpm. It has both manual and automatic transmission to it.

The Chevrolet Aveo is powered by a 1.4L, 1399cc which has 16-valve, and 4 cylinders in-line petrol engine, with MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) fuel injection system which generates 94PS of maximum power at 6200rpm with 128Nm of maximum torque at 3500rpm.

Safety features

The Honda City has dual front SRS air-bags for the safety of the passengers. It also has ABS (Antilock Brake System) and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution). The Chevrolet Aveo has ABS, EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution) system but no airbags.

Having analyzed the looks, engine and safety features of the cars it would not be wrong to conclude that the Honda city stand out to be a better choice.
