Honda cars have been extremely popular in India since its inception. The Honda CR-V has one of the most artistic designs, probably tailored by Noble prize winner creative minds. The earlier version of the Honda CR-V is one of the appreciated cars brought to India by the parent company in Japan. Honda has introduced the CR-V in India of the fourth generation mainly due to the constant success figure of the previous Honda cars. The interesting point about the 2013 Honda CR-V is, it is the first locally manufactured and developed car. Honda has decided to manufacture the 2013 CR-V on Indian soil to acquire a competitive pricing to compete with other equally powerful models in India.

Honda has styled the new car with simple but classy sculpting. It has retained a majority of CR-V identity with few differences here and there. The body panels are pressed against each other to acquire a tight frame with trendy creases and cuts through out. The tail lights are fitted to create a taller image which is adopted from the previous model. The three quarter window situated in the back is uniquely designed which narrows down towards the end. Majority of the car’s design is identical to the previous model to grab the attention of a large chunk of the Indian crowd.

The engine details are retained from the previous version with a 2.4 and 2.0 litre petrol engine. The torque is however higher than the previous make. The 2.0 engine churns out 154 bhp which is just 75 bhp lower than the 2.4 liter model. The new 2.4 litre engine generates an impressive brake horse power of 187 Bhp. The smaller engine if fitted with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox. The 2.4 liter engine is rolled out as an auto and is manufactured using the four-wheel drive system.

The drive quality of the 2.4 liter engine is splendid including the Eco version and the acceleration response is amazing, the car has a smooth pick up with just a little pressure on the accelerator. There has been a slower response in the five-speed automatic gearbox. The gear ratios have impressive figures; the second gear can function at 135 kilometers per hour. People still prefer higher gear ratio values and a swifter shift rhythm.

The performance at high speeds is amazing, the car has an incredible pick up at a super high speed of 150 kilometers per hour, and you can enjoy your drive experience and sit comfortably as well as enjoy long chats with fellow occupants. The motor quality is splendid and can run at high speeds even as high as 5000 rpm. The exciting part is you do not feel the engine rhythm, it feels like a smooth drive in air. The ride quality is superb, the body movements are controlled even during fast turns, the suspension is alarming, and you feel like you are on a flight.
