The attractive features of the Amaze is the creative exterior sculpt and mileage. This model has offered enormous satisfaction to consumers in terms of remarkable engine performance and mileage that was absent in Honda City. The Amaze is Honda’s first attempt in the diesel segment with an amazing mileage of 25.8 kmpl, known to be the highest in its class.

The company has rolled out the car is diesel and petrol variants with an array of options to choose from such as Petrol EX manual, Petrol S manual, Petrol S automatic, VX manual and VX automatic. The diesel segment has a range of options as well with S manual, VX manual, EX manual.

The petrol model of E variant is equipped with 1.2 liter engine with the efficient Virtually Torqueless Economy Car (Vtec) that churns impressive efficiencies of 86.8 bhp and peak torque of 109Nm with an amazing 1198cc displacement. The entry level petrol model is inserted with the basic comfort features of central locking, power windows, power steering and air conditioning. The diesel variant is inserted with 1.5 liter engine that churns amazing engine outputs of 98.6 bhp and peak torque of 200Nm.

Amaze delivers an excellent ground clearance of 165mm; in terms of safety the car is incorporated with basic features to protect occupants with EBD, ABS, fog lights, engine immobilizer, central locking keyless entry system in all versions. The most loaded variant is fitted with couple of SRS type of airbags which offers enormous protection from all angles.

Chevrolet Sail is a classy sedan built by Chevrolet Sales India Private Limited; this model is highly appreciated by the public and has registered admirable sales for the company. The exclusively creative model is rolled out in diesel and petrol versions. The petrol version is offered in a range of variants like the 1.2 base, 1.2 LS, 1.2 LS ABS and 1.2 LT ABS. The diesel models of Sail are 1.3 base, 1.3 LS, 1.3 LS ABS and 1.3 LT ABS.

The loaded petrol version is incorporated with 1.2 liter engine with the world class Smartech technology with 4 cylinders. The dynamic engine generates impressive outputs of 113Nm peak torque and brake horse power of 84.28. The mileage is impressive at 18.2 kmpl in ideal conditions.

The safety feature offered by Sail is best-in-class with ELR belts for front rows, engine immobilizer, and seat belt reminder for driver, door warning signals, EBD, ABS, door autolocks and so on.

The choice options are higher in Amaze, but Sail is not far behind, in terms of pricing both models are priced competitively at Rs 5-7.6 lakhs. With respect to safety, the Amaze is implanted with essential standard features in all models unlike the Sail, and hence in terms of safety the Amaze is a worthier purchase. The interiors volume is abundant in both models but Sail has a higher level of high tech fitments for a luxurious drive experience. The mileage in Amaze diesel is unmatched; hence the diesel segment is a worthier purchase than Sail.

The competition is stiff with both cars.
