As per reports, a number of Honda dealerships all over India have already started registering bookings for the 2014 Honda City unofficially. The sources also reveal that these Honda Cars dealerships are registering bookings for the all new sedan for an initial amount of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. The Honda dealers are said to already taken 50 to 70 orders for the all new Honda City. Officially though, there is still no news as to when the 2014 City will hit the car market of India, but it is very much likely to start getting delivered from the middle of the month of January 2014.

The all new 2014 Honda City has all the potentials to give a further boost to the sales rates of Honda Cars India which is currently experiencing great success after the launch of the its diesel car Amaze in April this year.  The City sedan which is Honda’s one of the most reputed cars used to be a strong seller and the leader of the C segment in India. In fact, Honda’s strong presence in India was because of the City. However, owing to the Indian car market’s fast paced nature, new cars came in and Hyundai Verna overthrew the City. The City’s sales further took a hit as it does not offer a diesel option.

Honda Cars India has thus decided to present the all new City to the more happening Indian market along with its diesel counterpart. The 2014 Honda City will be powered by the same much acclaimed 1.5 liter iDTEC diesel motor that runs the Amaze compact sedan. However, the diesel engine will be tweaked to offer more power to drive the City which is much bigger car than the compact Amaze. The 2014 City’s petrol avatar will carry forward the older generation model’s petrol engine, though Honda might tweak it as well.

The 2014 City will definitely be a head turner given it’s a next-gen Honda car. The all new sedan will be more dashing and bigger than the ongoing model. It is based on the platform of the 2014 Jazz and will also get a whole host of new premium features. Its exterior design is said to have taken inspiration from the 2014 Jazz as well as the Japan specific new sedan Crider. Matching its gorgeous exterior the all new City is expected to get an equally stunning plush interior.

The 25th November 2013 debut will also be the 2014 City’s first appearance to the world. With so much capability, the 2014 City is well expected to be Honda Cars India’s next big game changer.
