Honda launched its first diesel sedan project in April 2013, and the end result is phenomenal sales and overflowing demand. In 2013 November, when Indian economy is going it’s a harsh recession phase, Honda India has managed to encounter spectacular profit sales of 151%, and this is a jaw dropping moment for the company. Barely a year has passed since the launch of Amaze, and now the sale output has crossed 80,000, and will soon hit 1, 000,00 mark. To commemorate the grand success of the car, Honda is organizing a concert and lucky winners can take home a box of chocolates and dream come true family vacation.

The roaring success of the car has churned a series of arch rivals, one of them being Ford Classic. Ford Classic is molded into a stylish sedan piece, and is filled with imaginative lines and electrical outer rear view mirrors (ORVMs), along with creatively styled alloy wheels and artistically designed fog lights. Amaze portrays an exceptional eye candy demeanor, which is youthful and modern. The back lights and chromes decorated front grille, and strikingly appealing head lights add to the aesthetic appeal of the car. Working professionals in India are drawn towards cars with lavish young appeal, to complement their top notch corporate symbol. In terms of design cues, Honda Amaze takes the cake.

Honda owners will be familiar with the exotic interior atmosphere, step into the interiors of Amaze and the atmosphere is nothing but plush, with its royal beige and black theme. The interior room is luxuriously abundant for a below four meter sedan with audio controls on steering, height adjusting facility on driver seat, professionally designed speedometer and world class music system. Ford Classic is decorated with equally inspiring interiors, with a powerful music system with 4 speakers, CD player, Aux-in and Bluetooth facilities. The car is also packed with cutting-edge technologies like (PCM) Power control module and (GEM) General Electronic Module.

Ford Classic and Honda Amaze are rolled out in diesel and petrol variants. Ford Classic petrol runs on a potent 1596cc Duratec power train, Amaze petrol moves on powerful 1.2 liter mill. Petrol cars of Classic and Amaze release 99 and 86bhp, diesel Classic and Amaze are inserted with 1.4 liter Duratorq and 1.5 liter iDTEC engine respectively. The Ford Classic pump out 66bhp and with Amaze, the power output is 98bhp.

In terms of mileage, Ford Classic, maneuvers at 21kmpl, and its diesel counterpart delivers shockingly impressive fuel economy 32.38 figures. The mileage offered by Amaze petrol and diesel is 18kmpl and 25.8kmpl respectively. Now coming to price Ford Classic costs Rs 5.85 to 8.12 lakhs and Honda Amaze is priced at Rs 5.25 to7.91 lakh .

Honda Amaze and Ford Classic are equally desirable in terms of interior equipment, and price. Classic overpowers Amaze in mileage segment, now the secret behind Amazes’ magical profits is its super power engine, built with robust potential and durability, taking safety into account, Amaze has more to offer than Classic. Honda has engaged in smart engineering practices while manufacturing the Amaze, it has worked on small critical details like a durable engine, large 400 liter boot volume and more than sufficient interior room for a below four meter sedan, five occupants can sit comfortably at the back.
