Sub four meter sedans have become the in thing in India, and Honda has won million hearts with its City and Amaze sedans. Amaze is a sedan version of Brio and the publicity levels for the car were at its peak months before launch sometime in April 2013. Since then the car has been an instant hit and is sold like wildfire even today.

Amaze is sold in diesel and petrol variants, and the enormous hype was inscribed in the fact that this is Honda’s first diesel project. The 1.5 liter diesel iDTEC engine is super powerful and pumps out enormous energy outputs of 200Nm torque and 100 Ps. The petrol car runs on 1.2 liter capacity and churns 109Nm and 88 Ps. What attracted a herd of customers into showrooms when Amaze was first launched is the mileage aspect of the diesel model. The diesel car moves with a world class mileage of 25.8kmpl and the petrol car is pretty fuel efficient as well and offers a class rending mileage of 18kmpl.

Honda’s first diesel attempt has led to the discovery of Earth Dream Technology, and is an aluminum based engine. Car enthusiasts who have test driven the car were immensely satisfied with the world class features. The car scores well in safety department with dual SRS airbags in front, EBD, ABS, high mount stop lamp, wave key, driver seat belt reminder, front seat belt pretensioner with load limiter and engine immobilizer. Honda Amaze is a sooth sailor on highways and cities.

For a sub four meter sedan the interior room is luxuriously spacious, and is just never ending. Amaze sports a professional and sophisticated exterior image, with creatively designed tail lamps, neatly sculpted chrome grille, and arty fog lights in front. Amaze is an ideal comfort package, the 400 liter boot volumes calls for happy family times. Bundles of luggage can be thrown in to enjoy a splendid vacation.

It has been barely a year since the launch of Amaze and it has already churned blockbuster sales. Honda has sold over 80,000 pieces of the car, and has been on a profit roll where many other established firms are struggling to gather sufficient buyers during the current turbulent recession scenario. Drawn in by the success of Amaze Honda has some new interesting packages for 2014, which is fourth gen City sedan, Mobilio MPV and Vezel SUV. All these cars are tailored with the fiery 1.5 liter iDTEC engine derived from Honda Amaze. Honda has pierced through the cut-throat competition in sedan segment with Amaze, and is now geared to battle it out in inventive design segment. The 2014 City is draped with advanced design technologies called Exciting H Design and Sleek Cross Motion, the car has been launched and the pre-booking figures have touched milestone figures of 9,000. The mileage offered by new diesel City is 26kmpl and the car is set to fight the grille with Hyundai Verna.

Mobilio MPV is an MPV make of Brio, and looks amazingly grand, the launch date of the car is June this year. Amaze has already set off sparks of fame and glory and the same can be expected with Honda’s new launches. Let’s wait and watch.
