The all-new 2014 Honda City is certainly a great new global model that should garner the Japanese car major much appreciation. The 4th generation model of the City made its world debut in India on 25th of November, 2013 following which the car was officially launched in the Indian car market on 7th of January, 2014. Post its Indian launch the car became an instant success bringing much joy and expected sales boost for the company. The all new City was launched in India primarily to fight out with the segment leading Hyundai Verna Fluidic and to regain the City’s lost glory of the segment topper. Honda is already successful when it comes to achieving these targets, as the 2014 City has gained top sales rates in both the months of January and February beating the sales figures of the Hyundai Verna.

After winning over the Indian car market and emerging as the new C segment leader, the all new 2014 Honda City is now launching in several other international car markets. Recently, Honda is preparing to launch the sedan in the car market of Malaysia very soon. The Japanese car major has been showcasing the new car in Malaysia and has also commenced the official pre bookings of the car to ensure that the car gets similar success in Malaysia as it is getting in India.

The all new City looks great with lots of contemporary features. It looks more refined and stylish as compared to its predecessor, though the basic design line has been kept almost the same. The most remarkable feature is its front fascia that looks completely new with newly designed front bumpers and an aggressively styled front grille. The new set of stunning headlights complete the new frontal looks. The car’s side profile looks bolder with great lines all along its sides; these also make the sedan look sleeker. The rear end has also received design update with bold cuts and creases and new attractive tail lights. The overall shape of the sedan has been kept the same but it appears leaner and meaner as it has become little squatted and sleeker in design.

In the Indian car market the primary reason of the dwindling sales of the previous City model was the lack of its diesel counterpart. Moreover, the City offered lesser number of features at its price point as against the stunning Verna that offered loads of features at an attractive price point. Honda Motor has effectively corrected all these lacks in the new City. The new City is packed with a great feature list and comes with highly competitive pricing. Most importantly the new City not only comes with its diesel counterpart, but it is also the most fuel efficient car in India.

Needless to say, the all new 2014 Honda City sedan is a new all-round winner in the C segment. The new City with all its plus points has thus achieved a well deserving crowning glory.
