The age old 2016 Pilot spotted testing

The global auto market is fuming with intense competition, to an extent that acclaimed companies are rediscovering age old models. Honda is introducing refreshments into its Pilot; the car came on the scene in 2002. The new Pilot is the 2016 model and was caught testing.

The body structure captured on the 2016 test Pilot looks interesting, passer by’s have discovered that the vehicle is engineered with production-ready bodywork network. The car is completely camouflaged, and has yet caught the attention of car enthusiasts. The intriguing part is reports have managed to instantly capture a disguised state of an old model.

It is an exhilarating sight to view a spy model of 2016 Honda Pilot; nothing has changed on the car since 2009. The only update came in 2012, and under the covers was an arty and imaginative cyborg grille. Pilot is a popular car, but it has not captured public attention to a large extent. The car was not slated on the front benchmark and become invisible in midst of intense competition.

Pilot has reemerged all of a sudden from years of being unseen, it yet has an interesting story. The development of Pilot is inspired by Acura MDX luxury crossover model, and from the pictures of the test car, it paints the same story. Speckles of variations are spotted on the rear section, vastly different from its predecessors. The wheelbase and layout of back section is similar to MDX, the same is followed with suspension materials, the visibility effect is more pronounced at the rear. The roof is longer, indicating that the seats in third row are positioned to offer extended comfort.

From the set up of camouflaged very little information can be gathered, car fanatics have however managed to dig deeper. The 2016 Pilot is filled with old and new car elements. The pattern of taillights is similar to current line of high-tech vehicles. The layout of tail lights is a neat square; the headlights are horizontal and slender.

The engine fitment on 2016 Pilot is expected to be a mimic of the current car; the vehicle will run on an efficient V6 3.5 liter engine, engineered with four wheel drive technology. Reports say Honda does not plan to infuse a high-tech engine into the car such as the latest direct injection engine system built on V6 3.5 liter capacity. The innovative technology will lie in the transmission system; it will have supreme all-wheel drive handling with rear axle torque system.

The 2016 Honda Pilot is designed on the patterns of advanced technologies discovered to fight the intense competition. Post launch the battle is just going to get more intense. Some of its arch rivals are Toyota Highlander, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Explorer, Dodge Durango and Nissan Pathfinder. Honda has not said anything about the price structure of the car, going by the intense competition it is expected to be in a high bracket range.

The new Pilot sounds interesting since it is a reinvented old vehicle, with just few known details; it appears to be a fantastic buy.
