Honda is a pioneer of luxury car market visible on City, Accord and CR-V, there is an exhilarating piece of information for ardent Accord fans. The company has confirmed of its plan to launch Accord in India in 2015. Accord is in the most desirable luxury car list, but it did not do too well. The company was forced to stall the production of Accord in 2013.

Honda Accord Sedan Touring

The new Accord will be back again in 2015, this time with a new diesel engine, diesel Accord is on the run in UK equipped with a fierce 2.2 liter turbo diesel power train. Reports suggest that Honda may use the same mill for the Indian spec car likely to be linked to six speed manual gearbox. The engine has exorbitant power and emits 350Nm and 150PS. The likely engine power and efficiency of the new Accord is going to make it a threat to its competition, and its most sought after arch rival is Skoda Superb.

Sources guess that the petrol Accord will move on a powerful 2.4 liter mill, the same engine used on the earlier car. The present car is the 9th generation product and Honda plans to enhance the mileage and performance of the vehicle. The petrol car is engineered with the advanced V-Tech technology that releases 230Nm and 198bhp. The engine is coupled with six speed automatic and manual transmission gearbox.

News of a 9th gen Accord launch in India is thrilling; it will come with an overload of modifications. The back and front will undergo a complete makeover. The flow of roofline is sharp in tune with innovative 21st century development. There is going to be more room inside with increased head and leg space, the framework of the car is however retained. The starting price of the car is Rs 20 lakhs.

Most of Honda’s collection in India is of luxury strata, at a point when the market weakened considerably the company used a cost-effective theory to push sales. In 2013 April, the firm launched Amaze, a compact family sedan, it was an instant blockbuster hit, engineered with world class design, interior comfort and engine technology. It was the company’s first diesel venture in India, it is a huge risk paid off. The major profit driving factor is the best-in-segment 25.8kmpl mileage and enormous efficiency churned by revolutionary i-DTEC technology. The other blockbuster hit is the all new City launched in early 2014, Honda has powered the car with the same i-DTEC diesel engine. The recent hit is the all new Mobilio MPV also equipped with iDTEC diesel engine technology.

The Accord will be another addition to the profit impact, there is going to be a Jazz launch as well with greater style and technology punch. Honda has also hinted of HR-V launch designed with Vezel like pattern. A hot topic of discussion is Honda’s power to bring back the luxurious layer on Accord, with the modification in taste preference and increased earning power, it seems plausible.
