Honda Mobilio is a big launch in Indian market; it is the company’s first project in MPV segment. It is a seven seat model and got customer attention months before launch. The public was thrilled by the mere description of the vehicle and contributed impressive 35% sales in August.  The company sold 5,530 Mobilio units out of the overall sales of 16,758 units.

Mobilio launched on the 23rd of July and in just over a month it has contributed close to 50% of the overall sales generated. It is among the big contributors that have enabled Honda to achieve a phenomenal 88% profit gain. Mobilio has yielded higher sales than even Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Ertiga along with Grand Vitara and Gypsy gathered 5,491 buyers.

The MPV market in India is powerful, despite the limited number of vehicles; Mobilio was a crucial project for the company, mainly because the competition is all the more vast with just few MPV vehicles. Honda has infused the car with style, comfort and power, Mobilio has contributed massive profits in a short span of time. It is probably among the most profitable newcomers in the market, wonder if there are many of its kind to yield mind blowing fortunes in a blink of an eye.

The car market in India is incredibly diverse, and the public is fascinated with big cars. A car and big and attractive as Mobilio is a fantasy picture for many, it’s got a unique style statement with neat cuts and creases on the side, elegantly styled front and picturesque rear. On the front is imaginatively styled curvy headlight cluster filled with potent halogen lights. The layout of grille is arty and youthful structured into a neat smiley structure and covered with solid chrome treatment. The tail lights emit powerful radiation filled with courtesy lights and high-intensity lamps and covered with strips of chrome.

The insides of Mobilio is magical and classically vibrant, it is among the best in its class. The color theme used is royal dual tone beige, the newly launched V and RS models have premium wood finish on dashboard. The dashboard renders a classical up market feel covered with silver inserts. There is a world class audio system, potent air con unit. The exciting accessories on offer are 15.7cm touchscreen packed with navigation and in-car entertainment system. There are silver inserts on three spoke steering wheel and also audio controls. The seats have split capacity of 60:40. The other interesting features to take note of sun visors, interior rear view mirror, glove box, cup holders and bottle holders.

There are petrol and diesel engines to choose from, the petrol car moves on an efficient 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine that yields 145Nm and 118bhp. The diesel car is powered with a fierce 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine that gives out 200Nm and 98.6bhp. The diesel car has mighty power factor fuel efficiency and offers 24kmpl.

Honda has offered a true value luxury car dream with Mobilio, it’s just too desirable for words for a price of Rs 6.8 to 12 lakhs.
