Honda has worked wonders with its revolutionary i-DTEC diesel engine technology first introduced in Amaze compact sedan. It was the company’s first diesel project and the engine generates world class mileage of 25.8kmpl. Amaze was an instant blockbuster success and the diesel engine technology is among the prime selling features of the car along with trendy exteriors and comfortable interiors.

Analyzing the enormous success generated by Amaze, Honda decided to incorporate the i-DTEC power train into the all new City. It moves on a class performing 26kmpl mileage, and it too turned out to be a massive hit, since inception in early 2014 till now, it is the highest selling model of Honda. The company has then inserted the i-DTEC engine into Mobilio multipurpose vehicle that launched sometime in 2014 July.

Now sources are wondering if Honda will build a diesel car fitted with 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine. After all it has churned heaps of fortunes for Honda, there are so many potent engines in the market, but the 1.5 liter i-DTEC mill has done magical wonders. It is a challenge to build a powerful engine and later on garner heaps of profits centered on the mill. There are economic pressures that hinder sale movement, even though a power train is highly powerful, fluctuations in fuel prices play a major role in profit generation.

A couple of years ago, a massive crowd surrounded diesel vehicles in showrooms, because it was the more cost-effective fuel. It was the time when the fierce 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine did wonders; the drive mechanism is so smooth and efficient, to an extent that it enabled Honda to be among the top five most profitable automobile segments in the market. Brio is a popular hatchback in India, its presence has been strong since inception, it is among the most stylish cars in the market.

Step on the roads and there are several Brio cars, at present the vehicle is sold with petrol fuel only. Many people will wonder if Honda will really launch a 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel Brio, analyzing the huge success outcomes of Amaze, City and Mobilio, it does seem possible. An overload of revenues has been generated with the 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine alone. The company has recorded month after month profits, despite the pressures of the constrained economy, while many other esteemed firms have been struggling to generate desired outcomes.

Honda created history in 2014 December, it made gigantic 163% gains, it is a celebration moment for the company, because it has re-written history when the economy drifted towards a downturn. So much of profits and acclaim is generated from the 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine alone. It is a risk to strategize new plans under the circumstance of a downsized economy, and it was the time when the company decided to build the 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine into Amaze. It was a risk that transformed into miraculous fortunes.

The competition pressure of the car industry has only increased in recent times, so it is possible for Honda to manufacture a 1.5 liter i-DTEC mill into the Brio. Most of us would certainly want it.
