Honda Amaze celebration edition

According to several reports, Honda Cars India is busy at the moment preparing for the launch of the new refreshed Amaze in the domestic car market. The popular Honda Amaze compact sedan has not received any facelift since its first launch in the country back in April this year, and obviously needs one urgently in order to give its sales a fresh boost in the cut-throat competitive market.

The new Honda Amaze facelift model is likely to hit the car market of India by March 2016. And now, the new refreshed Amaze got spied at a dealership yard which offers a sneak peek at what the new model will have in offer.

As per the spy pictures, the new Honda Amaze facelift will be coming with a fresh design appeal along with new cosmetic changes. Moreover, the compact sedan will also flaunt a refreshed interior which makes it a rather major facelift model. The new refreshed Honda Amaze will be the company’s first launch in India in this current year of 2016. The refreshed model is expected to get dearer by around Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 than the current model due to its updates.

The new Honda Amaze facelift will flaunt a new front facade with a newly designed larger chrome slatted radiator grille that will be flanked by new smoked headlights. Its bonnet also looked restyled with added character lines, while there is also a muscular new front bumper with a large air dam and wide air intakes.

On the inside, the updated Amaze gets a refreshing new cabin design that seems to have drawn inspiration from the Mobilio. The current model’s interiors are criticized, but the new updated cabin seems to have corrected most of the follies. The car flaunts a new sharper looking dashboard, new AC vents and redesigned centre console decked in classy piano black with sliver accents. The steering wheel, gear lever and the Black & Beige color scheme have been retained though.

Being a facelift model, the new Honda Amaze will continue getting powered by the same 1.2L i-VTEC petrol mill that pumps out a max power output of 87 bhp and a top torque of 109 Nm, and the 1.5L i-DTEC diesel motor that delivers a peak power of 99 bhp and max torque of 200 Nm. The transmission choices will also remain the same, and the engines will continue being mated to a 5 speed manual and an automatic gearbox. However, it is speculated that the engine has been tweaked to deliver enhanced mileage.
