Honda HR-V expected to launch in India to out beat the popularity of Hyundai Tucson

When Honda Cars India introduced the fashionable BR-V compact SUV on the 5th of May, it became an instant hit, it is immensely popular, to an extent that there have been more than 9,000 bookings in just a month. It only infers the instantaneous popularity received by Honda in the SUV market, and now according to reports the company is likely to launch HR-V in India to beat the competition heat against arch rival Hyundai Tucson.

With the BR-V being so desirable, now how is the HR-V entry level car going to look, since it is going to be pitted against Hyundai Tucson, we can imagine the HR-V to be nothing but a spectacular package. For those who are wondering about when the car is going to launch, it is likely to happen in 2017. If the company decides to introduce the HR-V in the country, it will be positioned between CR-V and BR-V. The car is expected to be sold within a price range of Rs 15-20 lakh.

The HR-V will be engineered on Jazz platform, and it is going to be a ripper on the roads, it is powered with an efficient four-cylinder 1.8-liter petrol mill that generates fierce energies of 172Nm torque and 142bhp power and is linked to CVT or six-speed manual transmission. For Indian markets the car is likely to maneuver on a potent 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol mill also fitted in Civic Coupe, and the diesel car will have a more powerful engine.

As mentioned earlier, since Honda’s vision with HR-V is to dominate the supremacy of Tucson, we can expect it to be just supremely exclusive. The Honda HR-V is certainly among the highly desired upcoming SUV cars, and it is going to be an extremely safe car to drive packed with advanced safety equipment such as front and driver passenger seatbelt reminder, child proof rear door locks, multi-angle rear view camera, daytime running lights, tire pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability assist with traction control, brake assist, electronic brake distribution, anti-lock braking system, front side and curtain airbags and dual-stage multiple threshold front airbags.

The HR-V SUV will launch sometime in 2017, and it is among the most sensational new launches of the season.
