Indian subsidiary of Japanese auto giant Honda will raise the price of its famous Brio and City models in the range of 0.8% to 1.5% higher than their current price. The reason for the price hike is raising input cost and currency fluctuation. The price hike is not only common to Honda cars, but also other automobile giants such as Nissan in India, and many others overseas.

Honda will increase the price of Brio and City from January 2013, so now is the right time to buy these amazing cars at a lower rate. The other car manufacturers in the price hike category are Maruti Suzuki India, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. This is the best time to take advantage of the discounts and schemes offered during the end of the year programs.

Honda will introduce the new 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine in India by mid 2013, and the Amaze oil burner is expected to churn a mileage of 14Kmpl. The car will be available at 140 dealerships across 87 cities. The car has already hit Thailand roads on November 23rd 2012. The car arrived with four variants with two manuals such as S MT and V MT along with two automatics such as S AT and V AT. India will most probably get the same variants and automatics. The Honda Amaze will have a stiff competition with Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Toyota Etios and Tata Indigo CS.

The upcoming Honda Amaze will shock the public, with its impressive and sophisticated design. The front design of the Amaze sedan is the same as the beautiful Brio hatch that is available in India, and the rear half displays a whole new design which has many clues from the existing models available from Honda. The Amaze has a sloping roof where it comes in contact with the rear glass then again slopes down to the boot lid. The boot lid has a stubby design and ends unexpectedly, which is a typical feature of most sub-four-meter sedans. The Amaze design is not always irregular. The car has a planned well crafted design. There is an additional belt-line that stars where the first stops and then blends into the tail lamps. The rear tail lamps are large to accentuate the healthy sedan look. The design cues have been adopted from the City. The rear door has a new roof and design with the inclusion of quarter glass. The lid has a massive boot space of 400 litres capacity, which is phenomenal for a sub-four-meter sedan.

The Amaze will out beat its stiff competitor Suzuki Swift Dzire with a wider cabin space. The Amaze has enlarged dimensional features with a wheelbase of 2405mm, length of 3990mm, width of 1,680mm and an overall impressive height of 1,500mm. The most striking feature of the Amaze is the outstanding ride quality and the suspension is designed to suit Indian roads. The suspension in the front and rear is designed to handle large weights. The Honda Amaze with its striking modern features and also the remarkable ride quality makes buying this car next year meaningful, despite the price hike.
