The auto market of India is abuzz with the news of the imminent launch of the new Honda Brio Amaze. Honda Cars India had recently announced the official launch date of the compact sedan to be 11th of April, following which the company opened bookings for the car as well. As part of the pre-launch promotional activity, on 1st April Honda Cars has updated its website with all the information on its soon to be launched car, which will be the first ever diesel offering in India. The information of the Honda website also gives clear details on the 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine that will drive the Amaze sedan. Now, the first official TVC on the Honda Brio Amaze is also doing the rounds as it got aired in India. The television commercial naturally highlights the compact sedan’s excellent combination of powerful performance, looks and brilliant mileage.

Honda Cars claims that the 1500cc engine that equips the Amaze is the most powerful engine in the segment, which churns out 100PS. The most amazing fact about the Honda Amaze is its astounding mileage of 25.8kmpl, which will make the car the most fuel efficient car in India.

Till now, Honda was known only for its superb petrol powered cars. The company is now venturing into the diesel arena with this new compact sedan powered by the 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine. The new engine has been designed keeping India in mind and is powered by the latest technology and hardware of the much acclaimed 1.6-litre diesel engine that was recently unveiled in Europe. The superior technology also helps in friction reduction and ensures the great fuel efficiency and performance.

Apart from airing the television commercial for the promotion of the car, Honda has started registering bookings in all its dealerships across India from 1st April. The Honda Amaze is based on its popular Brio hatchback platform and also uses a lot of its parts and considerable looks.

The Honda Amaze compact sedan is being offered in both petrol and diesel avatars. Under the hood, the petrol variant will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol motor that also drives the Brio hatchback and the diesel version by the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor. The 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out 88bhp of power. Both the cars would give superior driving experience to the consumers and astounding mileage.

Given the fact that the Honda Amaze is a sub-4 metre sedan it will enjoy government excise duty that will help Honda to price the car competitively. The Amaze is expected to be priced around Rs. 5 lakh for the petrol variant and around Rs. 6 lakh for the diesel variant. In India, the Amaze sedan will be directly locking horns with the top selling and segment leader Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.

The Honda Amaze is really a stunner when it comes to its fuel efficiency and powerful performance. Moreover, the car is compact but does not compromise on the spacious and comfortable interior. With its superior quality and great features the car is all set to amaze the Indian auto market.
