The Honda Jazz is a very competent and tough performing car in the Indian auto market. It is best described as one of the best petrol compact cars in India however the car is really hurt by the diesel car preference of the Indian consumers. Under the hood, the Honda Jazz is powered by a very powerful 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine which produces a peak power output of 89 BHP at 6200 RPM and peak torque output of 110 Nm at 4800 RPM. The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the company is also expected to introduce a CVT gearbox in the future.

The Jazz also provides great performance as the vehicle reaches 100 km/hr in around 13.5 seconds. The engine and suspension provides a butter smooth driving experience and one the engine is also very quite even when the car runs at low speeds.

Driving dynamics of the Honda Jazz are also really great and offer the owners very nice and easy handling and stability. The steering wheel of the car is light and provides outstanding feedback at low speeds. The easy handling of the Jazz also makes it a perfect city car, where the car can glide even in traffic stricken roads and can be parked easily and quickly in tight parking spaces. The clutch operation of the vehicle is feather light as well.

The Honda Jazz is equipped with all the world-class safety features such as the ABS and airbags, which is standard in all the Jazz models to make it safe for the passengers. The car also offers very flexible seating, nice boot size to offer a complete package. The Honda Jazz is priced at Rs. 7,46,430 (ex-Mumbai) and is really a very worthy hatchback available in India. If the Jazz gets a diesel avatar, then it is certainly going to create a big wave.
