Honda Motors is a renowned figure in auto industry, with its amazing range of cars such as Civic, Accord, Amaze and so on. Honda has catered to optimum consumer satisfaction by introducing cars with extraordinary comfort and style. To satisfy consumer needs to a greater level, Honda has recalled around 405,400 models which includes Odyssey in US and other nations to rectify problems with airbags.

This is not the first time Honda has recalled worn out models, in 2003 and 2004, the company has recalled 342,000 models of Odyssey in Canada and US and 63,400 models of MDX Acura in 2003 from Australia, Japan, Canada and United States. According to Tsuyoshi Hojo, the spokesperson of Honda, ‘’there were no incidents of crashes, but there were quite a few hand injury incidences.’’

Acura is an extremely stylish model that can be matched to the impeccable style statement of Mercedes Benz. The interiors are tailored with mind blowing comfort features to experience the feel of luxury to the core with height adjustable front seat belts, rear seat center arm rest, rear seat head rest, rear reading lamp and vanity mirror. There is also a powerful air conditioner, tachometer, adjustable steering column and heater.

The MDX Acura is built with world class technology in terms of safety with collision mitigation braking system, tire pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability assist, and braking system. There are child safety locks, air bags and seatbelts. The overall material is inserted with brilliant shock absorbers to protect occupants in the event of harsh collisions.

The primary issue for recall is airbags; company officials are concerned about unexpected inflations, mainly because of electrical problems. The correction of default airbags is not a tedious process; the company will fit a noise filter near the air bag control unit. The most recent recall with Odyssey was regarding airbags, in 2011, the Odyssey min van introduced in 2003, was recalled to substitute inflators in driver’s compartment. The recall was to fix problems related to automatic transmissions and switches, as stated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Honda announced that it received complaints from consumers, regarding defective airbags.

Honda cars are appreciated for their incredible safety features; the Civic has scored high in crash test ratings. The recall of Odyssey and MDX Acura is an excellent move to avoid scores of unwanted accidents. The airbags are critical safety components; this is one feature that has saved millions of lives. Cars which undergo stringent crash tests are tested with airbags in front and sides. Those who have watched videos of how car safety examinations are conducted would have noticed that airbags play a major role. The test are conducted with robots seated inside and the impact is measured from side and front, each time the car hits an object in the front and side, airbags are released, which infers that this vehicle is manufactured with fabulous safety technology.

With the recalls the reliability factor with Honda cars are increased as well, more people would opt for Honda cars, knowing that the company will correct feature defects.
