Honda have queued another car in its long list of amazingly featured cars. Honda has come up with a model car – the Civic Tourer that features an all-new adaptive damper system at the rear. The Japanese auto giant released the details of the Honda Civic Tourer recently, well before its official debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, scheduled in September. The preview of the model was given in March in the Motor Show in Geneva, Civic Tourer. It surely doesn’t compromise with its style.

The Civic Tourer is designed for an enjoyable ride in any condition, especially on bumpy roads or conditions where balancing is a bit tough job. The designing and development of the car has been done in Europe, where it is expected to be launched the next year.

The exterior of the Honda Civic Tourer reflects sophistication and sporty spirit. It sports a bold line running all the way from A-pillar not ending before the D-pillar and thus, creates an illusion of a roof line floating in the air. The glass of the rear window is extended towards the rear. The car is very spacious from the inside with luxurious seating, owing to the smart placement of the fuel tank under the seats in the front.

The Tourer will come with one of the two engines, i.e. either 1.8 i-VTEC or the one from the Earth Dreams Technology series – 1.6 i-DTEC. The latter one has been earlier used in the latest CR-V and 5-door Civic from the Honda. But, this would be the first time that a DTEC series engine will be introduced in the European market. Both manual as well as automatic transmission mode will be available with the engine. In fact, the 1.6 i-DTEC has been specially designed and manufactured at the Honda manufacturing facility in the UK.

Moreover, the adaptive Damper System which comes fitted with the Honda Civic Tourer is being introduced in a production car for the very first time. It features 3 modes –normal mode, used in normal urban conditions; comfort mode – used to have a comfortable ride even on bumpy road and last one being the dynamic mode. This imparts an amazing additional stability to the car for a comfortable drive even on the challenging roads when its high-performance handling capabilities are tested.

The car has rear active temper system, which is used for rear axis and has lots of benefits like-less weight, low power consumption, and less cost for consumers. With  this the travelling lovers get a boon in their bag as it can be used in various weather conditions be it snowfall, rain or Slippery ground, they get rid of and can enjoy their way.

The latest Honda Civic Tourer was designed and developed by the R&D Team of Honda to lead the creative and technical design process.  During the entire development process the emphasis is drawn on the expectations of the customers in Europe and there is a stringent testing process in various harsh conditions.

This car comes with ideas which can be used in future cars. Nevertheless, we know that the agitation and curiosity have a more comfortable and technically well equipped car will lead us to have many more such initiatives being taken by “Honda”.
