Honda Cars India has been witnessing massive success after it introduced its first ever diesel offering, the Amaze in the country. The Brio based Amaze compact sedan has been a stellar seller in the car market of India, and its wonderful packaging makes one justify Honda for taking so long to bring in its first diesel car. The Japanese luxury car brand brought in the Amaze after studying the market very well and rightly packaging the product with all essential goodies for the Indian customers along with an aggressive price tag. As a result, this single car has now turned the fortunes for Honda Cars India. Now, all pepped up by the new found success, Honda is fully braced up to bring in a slew of new cars in both the diesel and petrol engine options.

2014 Honda Jazz Fit Images Details Launch Japan

It is now a known fact that Honda will be bringing in the next-generation City, the 2014 Jazz, a new Brio based MPV called the Mobilio in Indonesia, a new compact SUV based on the Jazz platform, and an affordable compact car in India within the next 2 to 3 years’ time.

The interesting fact is that out of these five upcoming cars products three are based on the platform of the all new Jazz. The all new Jazz’s platform will be utilized to develop the all new Honda City and the new compact SUV. Honda has also used the popular Brio hatchback’s platform to develop the star performing Amaze and the new Mobilio MPV that has just launched in Indonesia is also based on the Brio. The Brio has been a very successful car in India and is by far the cheapest as well. On the other hand, Honda is going to reintroduce the discontinued Jazz in India in its all new form. It seems that the Japanese car major is betting big on its potent hatchback platforms of the Brio and Jazz to get even higher success not just in the Indian car market but also in the global car markets.

Apart from the great platforms, Honda also has another potent weapon in the form of the acclaimed new Earth Dream technology to boost its sales and grab more market shares. The Amaze diesel’s 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine has received highly positive feedback from the industry experts. This engine is the most fuel efficient in the country and now it is also expected to run the 2014 Jazz, all new City and the new compact SUV.

It is currently expected that the new Jazz, next-gen City and the Mobilio MPV will be introduced at the upcoming Auto Expo in 2014.

Honda is also expanding its overall presence in India. The Japanese car major is not only increasing the production capacity for the Amaze but also for its entire line-up. The company’s new car plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan will commence production by early 2014 and most of the new products are expected to be rolled off from this new factory.
