The year 2014, has a lot in store for car buyers, Honda has some interesting packages such as Mobilio MPV and fourth-generation City diesel. The City is one of Honda’s key profit players, and the fourth-gen City has more to offer in terms of design and interior volume.

Honda City 2014 Unveiled

The fourth-gen City will launch in 2014 January and expect to witness a new unexplored design theme. The uniqueness is contributed by the novel H Concept, and this will enhance the sporty appeal of the car. The other interesting style formula is Sleek Cross Motion theme. Honda has incorporated unique style statements to the City, filled with professionalism and sophistication.

Honda has done wonders with the launch of Amaze, the company’s first diesel project. In just 8 months post launch, Honda has sold 80,000 pieces of Amaze diesel. The strong attention grabbing feature here was the 25.8kmpl best-in-class diesel mileage. The fourth-gen City diesel will deliver a mileage of 20 to 22 kmpl, car enthusiasts and auto analysts will certainly wonder if the City diesel could be a game changer for the company.

The new Honda City diesel is an eye catchy model, with its artistically sculpted head lights, adopted from Civic. The tail lights are expected to resemble the posh make of BMW 3 series. As elegant as the exteriors is the insides with two ton theme, packed with world class beige material and instrument apparatus.

Those who cannot wait to drive the car can hope for a luxuriously spacious package with heaps of leg and head room. Depend on fourth-gen City to cruise on harsh terrains, and hope to be safe with its jam packed safety attributes like windshield support, energy absorbing front fenders, powerful headrests, and two ARS air bags in front, electronic brake force distribution and antilock brake system.

Honda has noted exemplary profits with City, in 15 years; the company has released 4.3 lakh pieces of the car. With just a petrol engine up for grabs the figure is spectacular. There was a time in India when customers preferred to buy diesel cars, because petrol rates had shot up like never before.

The fourth-gen City will have an iDTEC engine, and this power train is expected to generate greater energy outputs than its predecessor. According to principles of auto engineering technology, for an engine to pump out supreme power and torque values, engineers will have to minimize the size of the engine. The new City will generate a 10% higher energy output of 220 to 240Nm and 110PS than Amaze.

Honda’s new upcoming fourth-gen City has all the characteristics of a desirable model. Coming to the most interesting part is the stiff competition posed by the car. It is sprinkled with new cutting-edge design cues, and its arch auto rival has to be a product of Hyundai. The most obvious example which anyone can think of is Hyundai Verna.  Fourth-gen City will have to fight the race with its new upcoming counterparts which is Maruti Suzuki YL1 and Hyundai i30.

The fourth-gen City will launch in 2014 January, and those who have planned to buy this car, can just go for it. It costs Rs 8.5 lakhs.
