Honda City 2014 Unveiled

The sales figure depicts the growth of the company over a few months and this growth has only been possible because of the customer’s response to the newly launched cars- Amaze and Honda City. The Senior Vice President- Marketing and Sales, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen is overwhelmed with the excellent sales of the company. He says that the year 2014 has started with a positive note and hopes to remain in the future also. He also thanked all the customers of the company for helping them grow big.

It is also said that the company exported around 88 units during January 2014. Another milestone that the company has achieved during the current financial year is the sale of 1 lakh units. 101370 units were sold in the period of April 2013 to January 2014. It is said that Honda’s small car would be introduced in to the Indian market sooner. The car will be based on complete new designs and platform. A new team in India has been recruited for the same.  The work of car development has already begun and the car would hit the road in the next three years.  The car will have a very attractive price.

The introduction of this car will itself be very good for the company. Honda was not been seen in local participation for many years. It was only after the introduction of Brio that Honda entered local market. Brio is the smallest car and was developed in Japan. Though developed in Japan, it was produced in India.

The managing officer at the Honda Motor Company, Yoshiyuki Matsumoto says that over all the years the company was only focusing on the American market and hence the products were designed in a way to suit their demands. But now the company would focus on the emerging markets. One among them is the Indian Market. They have started to look at the needs of the country and eventually satisfy them.  The sales of the two wheelers of Honda have also proved to be more in the Indian market. Thedesign of the engines of the Honda Mobilio and Amaze has been worked upon in Thailand so as to make it favorable for India.

Indian market has a place of high regard in the company.
