Auto companies all over the globe are working on the importance of clean and green technologies. The trigger that has set off a slew of electric vehicles is Toyota Camry and Prius. The increase in fuel prices is a concern all over the world, and this is a robust medium to push the importance of hybrid cars. Hybrid vehicles have come a long way, and the developments have crossed boundaries with the production of plug-ins, advanced battery technologies and electric engines.

The initiative behind the introduction of hybrid vehicles is to push the importance of clean technologies to combat the alarming increase in pollution levels caused by massive industrialization. This is the second anniversary of Canadian Green Car Awards; the first car to win this prestigious award is 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid.

Accord hybrid is a huge success in North American markets; an Indian launch is expected to happen sometime in 2014. An Accord hybrid launch sounds exciting and it will be a brand new hybrid launch. Accord has churned admirable profits in North American markets, but has not been too profitable in India. The car will be rolled out in just one variant which is the hybrid option, and will be assembled in India.

This is not the first time Honda has launched a hybrid car in India, there was a Civic hybrid that was introduced via CBU route, a few years ago. Accord hybrid is a car to look forward to and the interiors are in sync with the cars high-tech identity. The insides look grand with a professional black colour theme with jazzy blue illumination.

The car will operate on robust petrol 2 liter engine that will churn 165Nm highest torque and 141PS peak power. The battery used is an efficient lithium ion battery that will function on Synchronous AC 166PS electric motor that will churn a shockingly impressive 306Nm torque. The energy output obtained from a combination of petrol and electric engine is 196PS.
