The global compact SUV market is booming at a great pace and most of the global auto majors are coming up with their own compact SUV offerings. The Indian car market is also a great place for the compact SUV models, where these are very popular among the consumers.

Honda is also planning to offer a new compact SUV for the Indian car market as well. Though earlier this was known to be the new Vezel compact SUV, later on it was clear that the Vezel is not going to launch in India due to its premium pricing. Honda is now working on a Brio based compact SUV for India, the concept version of which was showcased at the 2014 Indian auto Expo.
