The Honda Mobilio RS along with a superb sporty visual appeal is all braced up to hit the Indonesian market. The Indonesia spec Honda Mobilio RS is based on the Mobilio MPV’s top of the range variant. The Mobilio RS has been spied earlier, and as per the spy pictures, the very premium and alluring variant will be all decked up with a more aggressively styled front as well as rear bumpers, new headlight detailing along with new LED styling elements, a new twin slat chrome finished front grille, body skirting, chrome finished exhaust tip, a new alloy wheels and the exclusive RS logo at the rear. The Mobilio RS variant, along with all these additional and updated exterior features looks very sporty and much more expensive as well.

When the interior of the Mobilio RS is concerned, the reports suggests that the vehicle variant would be borrowing the very elegant all black theme which is seen on the cabins of the higher trim levels of both the Brio hatchback as well as the Amaze compact sedans in the car market of Thailand. The centre console of the Mobilio RS would be getting a new advanced entertainment system with reverse parking camera support. The multimedia infotainment system along with expected to Bluetooth capability.

As the Honda Mobilio RS is only a more premium and sporty variant of the same MPV, it will only come with comprehensive cosmetic updates and changes only. Thus, the RS variant will retain all the under the hood specifications of the regular Mobilio and will not get any changes or tweaks. The Mobilio RS will be powered by the same 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol motor which is capable of churning out the max power of 118 PS and the peak torque of 145 Nm. The refined petrol engine is mated to the transmission options of a 5 speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox.

The Mobilio RS will be costing much dearer than the top end model trim Prestige that is offered at 201 million Rupiah (approximately Rs. 10.08 lakhs).

Honda had launched the Mobilio MPV in Indonesia in the month of January this year, after which the vehicle has been an instant hit drawing massive sales volume for the company.

The Japanese car maker is now all prepared to launch the Mobilio MPV in India in July this month. Though the Mobilio has not yet launched in India, the company has not ruled out the possibility of introducing the RS variant in the Indian car market. Thus, the Mobilio RS might land up in India as well at a later date depending on the popularity of the Mobilio.
