The new Honda Accord will re-visit India in the coming fiscal year; the company discontinued the model in 2013, with a view to re-work its lavish brand strategy. Honda is a renowned luxury brand and the public is crazy about the City, CR-V, and Accord. The company has made headlines recently with the emergence of cost-effective cars such as Mobilio, Amaze and Brio.

The re-arrival of Accord is an exhilarating piece of information, a top Honda executive commented on the re-launch and said, ‘’we are very enthusiastic about re-launching Accord back into the luxury car market. ‘’The company has stalled the production of current vehicle in India, but is on the run on international soil, and for some more exciting news, Honda is keen to re-introduce the car in India.

This is not the first time that Honda has spoken of re-introducing a stalled luxury car, there is a new Jazz on the way scheduled to arrive in 2015. Watch out for the diesel CR-V SUV in 2016 and also a small new car in 2017. An analyst for light vehicle forecasting at IIHS, Gaurav Vangaal said, ‘’Honda designs its vehicle with optimum premium character to cater to the needs of Indian consumers and showcase its inspirational value at bulk level. ‘’ Accord at present is not selling in large numbers, but the re-established luxury brand will bring back the lost customer sentiment value.

Honda has been a profitable sector all through the struggling depressed economy period, when many other esteemed auto firms were struggling to cross the desired profit mark. The company actually set a benchmark in 2014 August with massive 88.8% gains. During the April to August FY15 period, Honda made impressive 48% gains with the sale of 73,119 units. The company has commenced the construction of its third plant in Gujarat and has two other fully-fledged working factories in Tapukara Rajasthan and Greater Noida. The yearly manufacturing output capacity from both firms is 2.4 lakh units.

Accord is a classic luxury sedan; the car was not on the scene in India since 2011. The only known information is Honda plans to launch the car next fiscal, the detailed styling and interior décor is not yet revealed. The company will design the upcoming Jazz with an enhanced luxury layering and cost-effective strategy and one can expect similar pattern of thought process on new Accord. The interiors may have an additional layer of lavishness, and the engine power will be on the new lines of engine technology.

The fact that Honda has mentioned of bringing the Accord back to India is a thrilling piece of information. The car might arrive with a more reasonable price tag, just like new Jazz. It is going to be an exhilarating car to look forward to; ardent Accord fans can look forward to some more interesting information on the car. It will be fascinating to view customer response post launch, and will be an arch rival to Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Volkswagen new Vento.
