City reigns over Maruti Ciaz in 2014 November

Honda Cars India made impressive 64% gains in 2014 November, and City contributed highest sales during the period at 7,252 units. Maruti Suzuki a few months ago launched its signature Ciaz mid segment sedan car, to conquer the depths of the competitive automobile sector and also fight the arch sedan battle with the all new City. City emerged winner, and sold in higher numbers than Ciaz, that attracted just 5,120 buyers.

Since its arrival in early 2014, the all new City is a blockbuster hit of the mid size sedan market. The profit outcome of Honda is characterized by its efficient and attractive line up of products. After the all new City, the next best sellers are Mobilio at 3,589 units and Amaze at 3,310 units.

The all new City is sold with diesel and petrol fuels, the petrol car is fitted with 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine and the diesel vehicle runs on 1.5 litre i-DTEC technology. The diesel car manoeuvres on a class rending mileage of 25.8k/l which makes it the second most fuel efficient in its class.

It is a creditable outcome to achieve 64% profit in 2014 November, and Honda is delighted with the turnover, and is hopeful that the trend continues, and going by its vision to achieve continuous profit momentum, the firm is planning a dealership expansion strategy and in the near future it plans to add another 100 dealership units to its present established 200 unit establishment in India.

The all new Honda City has overwhelmed the crowd, and is among the best sellers, even under the current pressurized economy. Let’s go over the hot selling characteristics of the car. It bears an aggressive and sporty stance and garnished with the advanced ‘Exciting H Design philosophy. The front grille is professionally styled and bears a single broad horizontal slat stuffed with glossy chrome. The headlights are sculpted into neat double barrel structures, the front bumper has sparkling fog lights and there are a couple of vertical cuts on the bonnet and the side view of the car has neat creases.

The layout of the inner décor of new City is similar to that of its predecessor, it has better quality plastics, and the fine vibrancy is created by the black and beige colour theme. The steering wheel is refreshed and is bigger than the earlier model, and has more buttons for cruise control, audio connectivity and phone controls. There are three circles on instrument cluster, one for information display and the other two are for tachometer and speedometer respectively. The speedometer flashes two multi-hued colours of green and blue, and the drive is smooth the blue changes to green.

The all new City is packed with optimum style, convenience, comfort and mileage and everything about it is just fascinating. Those who are keen on the car it is a worthy purchase priced at Rs 7.2 to 11 lakhs, and it has all the desirable attributes of a luxury car and is extraordinary beyond words.
