Honda City launches its CNG Version

The Honda City is considered as the bestselling car among the C+ segment. The car has amazing features and looks. The first City was launched by Honda in the year 1998 and since then a lot of changes have been brought to the sedan in India. As fuel alternate models in cars have now become a necessity, Honda has launched the CNG variant of Its City. The suspension of the car has been modified to carry the extra weight of the CNG cylinder without hampering the driving experience.

Distinguished features of Honda City CNG

The Honda City looks amazing with the first class electric sunroof that brings direct sunshine to the interiors. The OVRMs comes integrated with turn indicators. The front of the car flaunts the premium radiator grille; its front houses the chrome finish logo of Honda at the centre. The ground clearance of the car has been enhanced. The 10 spoke alloy wheels are worth mentioning. The new set of tail lamps can be seen in the rear portion of the car. The bumpers of the car follow an arrow shoot design. The headlamps of this car have reflector lenses also. The front suspension of this car has been modified to place the CNG kit without hampering the overall look.

Honda City has royal interiors with the seating capacity of five passengers. The interiors of the car have an elegant and attractive design. The car has an improved neo centre control panel with stylish chrome finish. The meter graphic comes in a soft blue colour. The black interiors provide the car with a corporate look. The car has an interior with stylish, spacious and comfortable room with generous leg space and a better visibility of the outside. The headspace allows even a 6feet tall person to accommodate easily. There are multi storages all around the car for the convenience of the passengers. The door handles comes in chrome finish, door armrest with fabric inserts etc. Cruise control feature have also been added to this car. This is a system, in which one automatically controls the speed of a motor vehicle in top end variants. The rear seats of the City are placed a bit higher so that the rear passengers get a better view of the front. The car comes with safety features also. These include dual SRS bags at the front, ABS, and seat belts.

The Honda City CNG variant has been loaded with 1.5-litre 116.3bhp 16V SOHC i-VTEC, 1497 cc, 4-cylinder CNG engine which produces a maximum power of 116.3bhp at the rate of 6600rpm and a maximum torque of 146Nm at the rate of 4800rpm. The engine comes with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) system. The company has also added the two trim levels with an integrated Audio Visual Navigation (AVN) system in the V variant.

Recognising the increasing prices of petrol and diesel the manufacturer is soon expected to launch the CNG variants of the Brio and the Jazz and also will make their debut in the diesel engine segment by the next year.
