Honda has backfired last year with poor car sales, due to disasters that have been rocking Japan and Thailand. The company has made a striking comeback with the launch of amazing cars such as with the Honda City, Jazz and Amaze. Today’s car market in India is facing tough competition with the recent hike in petrol and inflation. The introduction of diesel variant would combat the petrol hike. The other player in poor car sales is recession. With the economy slowing gearing pace in India, the company has managed to gather profit. The Honda Amaze will be launched next year, but the car has already been publicized to a great deal. This is one of the most awaited car launches ever.

The Amaze is designed with a very powerful new one and a half liter, i-DTEC diesel engine and also a slightly modified version of 1.2-liter petrol engine adopted from Brio. The car will compete with Toyota Etios, Swift DZire and Tata indigo CS and so on. The Brio Sedan has been renamed Amaze. The Amaze has already been launched in Thailand with a completely different front exterior; however the final car will have minor differences. Those who have test driven the concept car at the Twin Ring Mortegi facility claimed to have fat chrome bonnet grille slats which would be the features of the final model.

The front design of the Amaze is the same as the Brio, the rear half displays a whole new design. The Amaze has a sloping roof where it comes in contact with the rear glass then again slopes down to the boot lid. The boot lid has a stubby design and ends unexpectedly, which is a typical feature of most sub-four-meter sedans. The Amaze design is not always irregular. The car has a planned well crafted design. There is an additional belt-line that stars where the first stops and then blends into the tail lamps. The rear tail lamps are large to accentuate the healthy sedan look. The design cues have been adopted from the City. The rear door has a new roof and design with the inclusion of quarter glass. The lid has a massive boot space of 400 liters capacity, which is phenomenal for a sub-four-meter sedan.

The Amaze is fitted with a well designed cabin with neat graphical lines at the side and impressive design at the rear making it more spaced than the Suzuki Swift Dzire. The dimension and design fits the sub-four-meter sedan image with enough room to accommodate many occupants. The Amaze has enlarged dimensional features compared to the Brio with a wheelbase of 2405mm, length of 3990mm, width of 1,680mm and an overall impressive height of 1,500mm.

The Amaze has remarkable ride quality; the suspension is designed to suit Indian roads. The suspension in the front and rear has been designed to handle increased weight.

The Honda Amaze will surely impress the public with its well crafted exterior with the required balance, sufficient interior room to perfectly suit a sub-four-meter sedan as well as striking ride quality. Car readers and enthusiasts will surely await the Honda Amaze in great anticipation.
