Honda Cars India has been always getting a very warm response for its all-time bestselling model, the Honda City sedan. The Honda City was aimed at the developing markets of Asia. The Honda City that has been selling in India for a long time now, but the premium sedan has recently got a facelift. The Honda City is in its third generation now and started getting tough competition from the rivals such as the Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Fluidic Verna and the Skoda Rapid.

The current Honda City is based on the Jazz platform, but the two cars do not share any exterior design elements. The refreshed Honda City has larger wheelbase of 2550mm and thus, is a real tallboy. The arrow design of the sedan has trendier additions now. It has a new front fascia with an elongated hood and a refreshed front grill along with a large Honda logo placed in the middle of the grill. It also has a new front bumper with integrated fog lamps, which improves the appeal of the car.

The Honda City AT 2012 also gets fresh alloy wheels; all chrome door handle and all new wing mirrors in dual-tone shades with integrated turn lights. The sedan’s top end model also gets electric sun/moon roof that are best in class. As for the rear of the car the sedan gets new designed tail lamps and refreshed bumper.

On the inside, the 2012 Honda City gets a black and beige dashboard. The instrument cluster in a three pod gets cool blue backlight and the steering gets a new leather wrap. The steering wheel comes with manual height adjustment. The center console gets a brushed aluminum garnish around the center console, and the AC vents get chrome inserts. The sedan also comes with USB connection and FM Radio, center arm rest, leather upholstery, height adjustable driver’s seat, chrome inserted door handles, bottle, foldable arm rest and head rests, roof lights, USB/AUX audio player among lot more other features. The Honda City cabin is really very spacious and comfortable with amazing visibility.

Under the hood, the Honda City 2012 is powered by the powerful i-VTec 1.5liter 4cylinder Petrol engine that churns out 118PS of power at 6600rpm and has maximum 146Nm of torque at 4800 RPM. The superb engine is coupled with a 5 speed Automatic gearbox. The gear shifts can be manually handed as well with the help of the paddle shifters. The i-VTec engine is superb in quality and needless to say silent as well. The sedan is a perfect companion to the speed lovers. The car is extremely powerful and easy to handle.

The Honda City AT can reach 100kmph in a matter of just 11seconds.  The all wheel disc brake setup responds instantly at your command ensuring a safe drive. The Auto gear box operates brilliantly with no shift lag in place. A combined driving of city roads and highway will provide a fuel economy of 12 Kmpl. The 2012 Honda City provides the best in class driving experience as well as performance.
