Whatever be customer feedback, whatever critic’s comments are, and whatever the Company’s notional victory be, it all comes down to the figures. Honda India’s nerves were probably settled once it discovered how it faired and especially how their growth percentage looked against feeble growth from other automotive giants. The Japanese car manufacturer has raked in some good numbers that have peaked since the previous year. A thirty five percent climb was noticed in the annual growth statistics of Honda India with regard to its cars.

Honda always understood the Indian market well, its conditions, demands and its direction. Honda cars are noted for being the toughest, and being high performance cars. Honda with its famous V-Tec and i-VTec technology had displaced the confidence of many other manufacturers.

With all the success backing it, Honda has substantial plans to venture deeper into the market and exploit every bit of it. True to its motto, Honda delivers right down to the small details.
Apparently Honda India plans to set up a new assembly unit where its Tapukara plant is in Rajasthan. This could mean Honda plans for more shipments and to reduce cost of cars, while taking advantage of reasoned import tax levy.

With the popularity over its cars, particularly the first ever diesel car Amaze, Honda can have no apprehensions about its expansion plans, and safe to say that the profits are best being allocated.

Let the numbers speak for themselves. In the preceding fiscal year that is starting from April 2012 and ending at March 2013, Honda India managed to sell as many as 73,483 units. This is a considerable increase from its previous fiscal year spanning April 2011 to March 2012 where it sold about 54,427 units. This reveals a thirty five percent increase in its growth via sales. Exports for the Company also kicked back growth for Honda, as it exported 2,622 units in the last financial year.

On a month-to-month analysis indicates that March 2012 recorded more sales against March of this year. Last year the Company sold 10,044 units in the third month whereas March of 2012 has recorded sales of 11,016.

With expansion plans circumference the broad horizon, we expect entry of some new models to suit small car segment needs as well as luxury sedan demands.  Honda is India ready and set to paint the country red with the bright colors that the car can be bought in. It looks like the Japanese auto-major had assessed the market and its mistakes and has brilliantly come up with an exciting product that had successfully created lots of buzz in the market.

All the sayings of Japan point out to the good fortune of Honda through its well accomplished cars, and market study of what the buyer needs. While initiating its way into India, Honda was more fixated on selling petrol cars; Honda is now slanting towards diesel cars and has released word of its intention to bring as many as five new cars this year.

In the last 3 months, an average sale of 5,400 has been maintained, and these figures are expected to stoically remain the same up until the year of 2104.

It is to be noted as well, that the Amaze offers 90 % of the Honda City (very popular in the market) but at the price of only 70 % of the City, which will aid the sales of this new much-awaited car. Also as expected, the base model of the Honda City has been discontinued with the launch of this car; possibly the car replacing this version of the City.
