There has been a decline in car sales due to unfavorable economic conditions of high interest rates, inflation and so on. Many auto majors including Honda India have spiked their car prices. Honda India has raised its prices by Rs 10,000 due to higher charges regulated by the board diagnostic compliance changes (OBDC).

As mentioned many auto majors have enhanced their prices, the other example being Hyundai Motor India Limited have raised their prices in the 575 to 2,830Rs bracket. The company has increased its prices on the extremely popular hatchback the Brio by 2,000 Rs from the current pricing of Rs 4 lakh. The highest price increase will be registered in the automatic version with an increase of 10,000 Rs from the existing price of 5.74 lakh Rs.

Another desired car of the masses, the City will be higher priced at Rs 3,000 from the current pricing of Rs 7.26 lakhs. Another best seller the Accord will also note a steeper pricing of Rs 5,000 from the existing 20.30 lakh Rs. The CR-V too is scheduled for steeper pricing at 20.43-22.94 Rs which is a 1,000 Rs increase.

According to Rakesh Srivastava, President of Honda Motor India Limited, ‘’ the hike in price of our cars was an essential move to regulate with the board diagnostic compliance changes. To maintain a balance in pricing and minimize inconvenience, we have to take in maximum pricing to reduce the price hike.’’

The 10,000Rs price hike by Honda is a necessary move to comply with board diagnostic change authorities and maintain a balanced pricing to neglect inconveniences to customers. Honda Motor India Limited has enhanced the prices of its popular cars of Brio hatchback in the manual and automatic version, the City and Accord which have generated huge profits to the company.

The Brio appears to be a trendy and chic hatchback that would ideally suit the young demographic. The car is no doubt a best seller due to its extremely efficient engine of 1.2-litre with four cylinders and 16 valves. The petrol engine is equipped with a SOHC i-VTEC engine attached to a 5 speed automatic and 6 speed manual transmission gearbox. Moreover the car releases efficient energy outputs of 109Nm and 86.8bhp. The mileage generated by the Brio hatchback is amazing at 19.4 kilometers for the car fitted with manual gearbox and 16.5 kilometers for the car fitted with automatic gearbox. The most striking feature is the splendid fuel capacity, since the car has the capacity to gather 35 litres of fuel.

The Brio hatchback is rolled out with interesting color options to cater to the population who prefers neutral and bright color options. The car is offered in Emerald Blue, Rallye Red, Tafeta White, Titanium Grey Pearl, Alabaster Silver and Crystal Black Pearl.
