Honda is working on new interesting launches based consumer demands

The company’s buying power was strong but had reduced; the main reason is the company not constructing a diesel engine. The company has introduced an effective strategy to turn things around for the company, and company officials felt that this was a credible method that has resulted in the launch of Amaze which is a sedan version of Brio. This car has been a boon which has contributed almost half the profit sales.

 

The past twelve months has been a ride for the company, the weakening Indian rupee has increased import values. The lack of diesel models earlier has affected the company since the rise in petrol prices has resulted in lesser buying powers. Honda has focused on the diesel segment with Amaze being its first diesel product. The company has emphasized to enhance its localization capacity which might be the best measure due to fluctuation in currency exchange. The company has 90% localization capacity, the company was working extensively on new projects, and is now facing attractive sale tunes with Amaze.

Honda has always worked towards consumer satisfaction, and is working on new models such as compact Sport Utility Vehicle, and multipurpose vehicle. The company also has a strong base in Europe and U.S, where the variations between diesel and petrol cars are nil, and hence emphasized on petrol mills only which was the trend for the past 10 years. Most highly acclaimed international firms are working on eco friendly cars, and Honda delivers its optimum in this segment.

India has a vast car portfolio, around 50% of models are fitted with diesel engines, and almost 50% are hatchbacks and many others. The company is equipped with larger power trains and petrol mills. Honda aims to now emphasize on Indian segment, and analyze the powerful segments which have catered to optimum consumer satisfaction, and is working on this segment effectively.

The company at the moment has churned strong sale outputs of four million models on a global scale, during the last financial period that terminated in March. A top company official has also announced that the figure will increase to six million in the financial year than ends in 2017 March. India is one of the focal points for increase, and the company is confident about its significant contribution in India as a part of its global initiative.

When questioned about India’s fast growing car economy, and lower sale outputs, and whether this is a concern for the company, a company official of Honda replied, there is now permanent growth in any market which is proven in car history, ideal examples are China and Japan, these economies are on a downslide, and is not an indication of non-functioning markets.

Honda India is studying the weak market and rupee depreciation at great depth, by working on new models such as compact SUV and multipurpose vehicles which are greatly appreciated by the Indian population and is banking on huge profits as observed with Amaze.
