Limited Edition HFP Package with Honda Accord V6 Coupe Now on Sale

After the official launch of the HFP for Accord V-6, a set of selected Honda Dealers, present in the United States, is now offering the Honda Accord V6 with the specially designed Honda Factory Performance (HFP) package. The Las Vegas SEMA show 2012 was the first to witness of the upgraded coupe. The Accord Coupe V-6 with the HFP package is a limited edition from Honda.

The performance of the upgraded Accord V-6 fitted with the HFP kit was tested and approved by Honda’s North American racing company, the Honda Performance Development Inc. (or HPD). Before placing the kit on the market for sale, Honda commissioned the Performance Development racing division of Honda to test the Honda Accord Coupe v-6 – 2013 standard model along with the latest upgraded model.

According to the testing engineers at HPD, the HFP package has turned the Accord into a better model in terms of its responsiveness and agility on the track. The factory performance package of the Honda not only add to the considerably enhanced dynamics of the vehicle, but also some unique styling cues to the sporty looking Accord Coupe V-6.

According to a Senior Program Engineer, Lee Niffenegger of the Honda Performance Development, Honda Factory Performance (HFP) Package really takes it to a new level and the all new Accord V6 is a natural on the challenging and twisted roads.  The sport suspension, low height of the ride and tires for better performance makes the factory performance kit, the one that provides even better controlled body movements as well as improved stability.

The HFP package comes with summer tyres that are covered with distinct alloy wheels measuring 19 inches each, a trunk spoiler and a tighter suspension that allows the car to be lowered by a good 0.6 inches. Apart from these, the car also sports a front and a rear lip, side skirts, a deck-lid spoiler and HFP badges.  There is no major change in the interior of the car, with only an addition of the red ambient lighting as well as HFP red coloured floor mats.

The kit comes with a warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles. The package can be opted by the customer while buying the brand new Honda Accord Coupe V-6. The company is planning to sell only 500 pieces of the HFP kit.

The 2013 version of the Honda Accord coupe V-6 is powered by an engine of 3.5 litre which is rated for a power of 278hp and the highest torque of 252 lb-ft.  The coupe can be availed with either an automatic transmission with five speeds or a manual transmission with six speeds. Gaadi.com

The basic Honda Accord Coupe is priced conveniently starting from 24,140 USD which includes the destination charge of 790 USD. On the other hand, the Accord V-6 is priced a little higher starting at 31,140 USD (manual transmission option). Independently, the HFP package without the installation has a price tag of 4,620 USD.
