Considering the slowdown stricken Indian car market, the car makers in the domestic market are eager to bring in brand new car models and refreshed variants in the year ahead. Though there is not much hope for the market to revive, the new cars are definitely expected to provide the sustainable boost in sales for the companies.

In the current slumped market conditions, Honda Motor is one of the rarest of the rear auto makers which is experiencing great positive growth in India. This great success has prompted the company to bring along a whole host of new cars for the Indian car consumers and the company has already announced about the same.  The Japanese car maker made an overwhelming success with the launch of its first diesel car in India, the Amaze compact sedan that made the car makers sales rates astral.

Honda is now ready to launch a slew of new models in India both in petrol and diesel fuel variants, in order to retain and further boost its market success. After the market launch of the City sedan in January 2014, Honda is expected to bring in big launches in the year in the form of the all new Jazz premium hatch and the Mobilio MPV. Among these three new cars, the Mobilio MPV is expected to be a big game changer for Honda.

The Honda Mobilio is actually made for the developed Indonesian car market. However, the Japanese car maker is going to introduce this MPV to the potential Indian car market. The 7-seater Mobilio MPV is developed on the Brio hatchback’s platform, and is all set to give tough competition to India’s leading car maker Maruti Ertiga MPV or LUV (Luxury Utility Vehicle).

The Honda Mobilio is going to be a more attractive choice as compared to the Maruti Ertiga. Due to its more luxurious features, the Mobilio is expected to be priced a little more than the Ertiga. The Mobilio is also slightly bigger than the Ertiga.

From the inside the Mobilio is a quite similar to the Brio’s cabin, as the MPV shares a lot of parts with the Brio and the Amaze. It also has a bit bigger cabin space and better legroom, making even its third row more comfortable.

The Mobilio MPV in India is likely to be powered by the petrol as well as diesel mills that drive the Amaze, and they are not expected to receive any tuning either. Thus, mileage and power will remain similar to that of the Amaze.

In terms of design, the Honda Mobilio is more stylish and fashionable than the rather plainly designed Maruti Ertiga and will lure in the trendy young generation consumers. The exterior of the Mobilio is similar to Brio and Amaze along with a new more aggressive bumper. The Mobilio is expected to launch in India by mid 2014. Thus, the Mobilio is ready to pose as a big competitor for the Ertiga.
