Honda is geared to launch its fourth-gen diesel City model; this is an interesting and head turning launch for the company. The current City is all over the place on Indian roads, and when car enthusiasts read about the forthcoming 2014 City diesel, the first thought that would pop up is how different will the fourth gen City model be compared to the existing third gen City car. Let’s compare the two cars.

All new Honda city 2014

The fourth gen City diesel is splashed with new design cues like Exciting H Design, and Sleek Cross Motion. Honda has hence incorporated a wave of new design cues and is an evolutionary model of the current City. The design structure of fourth gen Honda City diesel is similar to the existing one, and both cars have identical body panels.

The 2014 City is packed with new characteristics compared to the current model; the new car bears a more prominent grille compared to current car. The unique identity also lies in the head light structure the new City sports a twin type of barrel head light design, compared to just one barrel used in third gen City model. The current third gen Honda City’s tail light design is formatted into clusters; with the new City the tail light design theme is horizontally arranged. The fourth-gen Honda City is filled with more tail light segments, and hence the visibility is increased and occupants would feel more secure. The fourth-gen City has a greater boot area compared to current model, and hence buckets of luggage can be loaded.

The third and fourth gen City might not sport many differences with respect to exteriors, apart from head light arrangement and more lighting arrangements in the new City. The insides is where most of the modifications lie, the new City diesel is fitted with sparkling black plastic polish, five inch LCD Infotainment screen, touch screen climate control and back air con vents. The third-gen Honda City is splashed with sprinkles of silver, the fourth-gen City model is polished with refined aluminium metal.

Honda has injected greater engineering technologies into its fourth-gen City model, the new City diesel will arrive in lesser Noise Vibration and Harshness levels, and the diesel engine is incredibly smooth and consumers can expect to encounter an amazing paragliding atmosphere. The new City diesel is equipped with a potent iDTEC 1.5 liter engine, the car maneuvers with impressive mileage figures of 26kmpl, and hence the fuel economy values is world class, and is the best in its sedan class.

The most interesting aspect about the launch of fourth-gen Honda City diesel is the mileage rendered by the diesel car. The mileage generated in Honda Amaze is 25.8kmpl. This is Honda’s first diesel project and has pushed the company’s growth curves to admirable levels. With the new City running at mileage of 26kmpl, most people would expect it to deliver rocking sales.
