Honda’s latest Pilot Touring SUV does not seem to have changed much from its 2013 model and retains large cabin and pickup like body styling. Its Touring variant has 4WD and is most expensive due to new features like “Rear Entertainment System” and navigational equipment which keeps it connected. The car’s high 8 inches of ground clearance gives better visibility to driver and improves ability to manage rough country roads and city traffic with equal ease. Its spacious interiors with high seats and ample leg space provide adequate seating space for 7-8 passengers like a full sized SUV ideal for long family trips. The car’s entertainment system has DVD and all audio facilities while navigation technology is connected via Honda’s satellite navigation system to give details of destination.

The new Pilot Touring 2014 model appears tall since it is designed in old truck like box shape which is placed on high 18 inch alloy wheel with crome like covers with six spokes for a commanding experience and aggressive stance. Interior features have been changed to meet current technical upgrades in air-conditioning and audio system. Its front fascia has undergone a slight change to now include 3 horizontal chrome bars on grille along with halogen reflector headlamps in headlights cluster along with turn indicators to give a premium look to overall design. Upholstery of its interiors has also been fitted with fine materials while seats are fitted with leather having contrast stitching. The SUV is built with large cargo space of 87 cubic feet which can be further increased if seats are folded.

Being a large car the Honda Pilot 4WD Touring has a massive front console which works as a singe storage unit for keeping a vast number of objects like books, wallets, keys, bottles and other knickknacks. Besides this center storage section the car’s center console also has cup holders and a few more compartments for keeping small objects. Since it will be used for long trips the car’s designers have also built in storage pockets within doors for bottles and papers. To make driver’s job easy the SUV has been fitted with power steering system and remote controls for opening boot cover and fuel lid cover along with rear view camera which gives 360 degree view of objects around the car.

To power this massive car Honda has affixed it with 3.5 liter SOHC V6 i-VTEC engine with five-speed automatic transmission system and 24 valve variable cylinder mechanism capable of providing output of 250 hp with low emission levels. Its variable cylinder management and latest throttle system in combination with multi-link suspension system provides great grip and control driving through any kind of terrain.  Safety equipment of the Pilot Touring SUV comprises of ABS and EBD along with brake assist, stability assist and traction control to manage balance and stability even under tough weather conditions of rain and snow.
